Access Buxton is a group od mainly disabled people:

  • Responding positively about disability issues
  • Giving information about the Disability Discrimination Act
  • Giving information about the right to access
  • Undertaking building assessments

What We Do

We can campaign about lots of issues, such as:

  • Uneven pavements
  • Lack of dropped kerbs
  • Inadequate dropped kerbs
  • Lack of tactile paving surfaces
  • Entrance to buildings
  • Awkward steps
  • Not enough public toilets
  • Toilets for disabled people
  • Making information accessible to deaf or visually impaired people
  • Information given in plain English
  • Transport issues
